Amy and Steve Stinson's Art & Soul Gallery is a spontaneous and exciting environment. Not unlike a juried art show, new works arrive daily from around Michigan and the United States and are displayed beautifully. Fine art work; like pottery, fiber, fabric, glass, jewelry, metal, paper, paintings, photography and sculpture are the Gallery's many diverse selections. Works that are fun, whimsical and inspiring are throughout this colorful gallery, representing over 200 artists!

The Traverse City couple is very active in the community raising a combined family of five and running two businesses. Amy serves on the Board of Directors for the ArtCenter Traverse City as Vice President. One immediately gets the impression that she has an eye for collectible and beautiful items. Always attracting new regulars, Amy smiles knowingly whenever she hears the ooos and aahs, giggles and laughter! Then she quips, "I love my job! I love my artists. Can you imagine being close to home, surrounded by the most spectacular artwork, having wonderful customers and being right in the heart of beautiful Downtown Traverse City just a block away from the bay… it sure beats working in Corporate America!"

Amy left a 12-year career in corporate sales, to open Art & Soul Gallery in 2002. Her husband’s support and encouragement along with taking Chuck Forman's renowned watercolor classes in 2001 and 2002 motivated Amy to make the career change.

Amy Stinson knows her clientele, takes interest in their tastes and needs, and has established a wide range of prices making a special work of art affordable to everyone. Her staff is impeccable and they all echo Amy's dedication and love of art stating, "There is true joy bringing the pleasure of art into people's lives.”
